Laughter Heals –it gets the energy moving!

Why is laughter such a healing tool?

Every time people are in a stressful situation and someone cracks a joke, it lightens everyone up.

Amusement is key when releasing and working on making changes in your life.

Being too serious and in effort, your mood becomes heavy and your outlook down or depressed. It may feel like you are walking through mud, and just getting more stuck. It is important to focus on what you would like to create and not what you don’t.

Keeping things light releases stuck energy. Laughter allows you to experience energy at a higher vibration, and at a higher vibration energy freely moves. For example sadness has a much lower vibration where joy and laughter has one of the highest vibrations in nature and that is why you can heal yourself and most situations just by lightening up.

When you’re working on a problem, paying your bills, healing relationship conflicts or a serious illness, at these times it is difficult to laugh and not be solemn, but using a little amusement frees your feelings and energy to see things from a new and clearer perspective. Even just finding amusement in how serious you are being in that moment.

Laughter is a powerful key to change:

Negative emotions -Stuck energy -Static thoughts!

                 Laughter = Energy Movement = Change = Freedom!

 

Consider the experience of Norman Cousins a famous author who cured himself of cancer by watching “Three Stooges” movies eight hours a day for weeks. He knew intuitively that the power of laughter was perfect medicine for him.

 If you bring a little amusement into everyday situations the energy shifts immediately. This is the power of laughter! It can change your life!

Exercise to lighten up:

Find a quiet place to sit, close your eyes, relax and take a few deep breaths.

Be nice and grounded. Now think of the person you have had a conflict with and with whom you would like to heal the relationship. Picture them in a funny outfit. Allow yourself to smile and laugh. Create and visualize a beautiful three-dimensional pink rose two feet out in front of you on your viewing screen. Let this rose collect up all the serious energy in your aura and body (see it as red dots) getting absorbed into this rose. Picture the rose getting bigger and bigger. Visualize lighting a firecracker under it and explode the rose. Feel the energy neutralize into pure light. Create a big gold sun above your head and call back to yourself like a magnet all your life force energy into this sun and then bring it in through the top of your head and fill up your body with this liquid gold. Fill up your head, arms, legs, torso and your entire aura. Feel the calm awareness and energy flowing through your body.  Stretch, and open your eyes.

Take a moment and remember in detail, a wonderful personal example of a humorous experience or story. Think of a word to touch your funny bone that can be your personal “Laugh Factor” word: Hippo, Umbrella, Lipstick, Red Skelton or the three stodges or whatever word you choose.

I use the word Popcorn, because it reminds me of when my brother and I were young and at the drive-in movies with our parents, he had a mouth full of popcorn, I made a joke and he laughed and the popcorn went all over the car. We were all laughing so much we were crying. That memory always makes me laugh.

 They say that a healthy level of laughter per day is at least laughing 15 times.
So take a day and count how many times you laugh in a day. Maybe it’s time to increase your laugh number and lighten up!
