Blog #86 Little Surprises of Life - “Clairalience”

Waking up each morning and saying hello to God and to my Spirit guides is such a gift and a joy. As I get a hello back, I often will be aware of the sweet fragrance of roses.

Starting with meditating and grounding myself and being centered and running my Earth and Cosmic energy, it helps expand my awareness to feel calm and excited about the day. Looking clairvoyantly to what the day may bring and asking what I can do.

The answer I receive is always a surprise: Be yourself, share my joy or be nice and neutral and in no effort, express your powerful creativity or a day of forgiveness of others and of myself or create a Thank you day!…

Starting my day with a hello to God and the ALL, the Source, the Universe or whatever you would like to call it, keeps me focused on the big picture and not just all the little ones in this wild ride of life.

Saying out loud “This is the day that God has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it” is the first words I like to say each day.

Kaillee and Ricky, our puppies, and Kai and Kalani, our kitties keep us laughing and in lots of amusement as they play and dance and jump into our chairs to get a treat. As I write this, I can hear outside my window a beautiful tree frog singing and I can see the Hummingbirds flying around from bush to bush feeding on the nectar.

Last night listening for about an hour to two hooting owl’s right outside our bedroom window.  Wow what a hello!

Taking a moment as I was thinking about my dear friend and teacher, Michael Tamura who made his transition to spirit in October, just saying hello to him I can see his smile, hear his laughter and feel his love and joy and smell the fragrance of the ocean which he loved so much. For me his fragrant calling card is the smell of the ocean.

My mother often times will leave me a little heart of some kind, in my tea, on the kitchen counter shaped by water, or a computer cord I will happen to see  in the shape of a heart…that I will come across and I know it is her saying hello and sending love from spirit. When she was in body, she often times would leave me a sweet note or a wishing stone or a shiny dime she had found and sometimes leave a special little gift.

My mother was so encouraging and inspiring and my amazing cheerleader. I try to follow her lead by loving and giving it forward, with my husband, family and friends, nieces and nephews and just about everyone I come in contact with. The gift of saying hello with a smile or hope you have a beautiful day text or I drop a hand written note in the mail.

 Finding little ways to express our love and appreciation for all the ways others make our life so very miraculous. When I am really missing my mother, I will send her a gold rose of love in spirit and later walk into my bedroom or kitchen and it will have the beautiful fragrance of my mother’s perfume and I know she is here saying hello.

When I walk into my house after being out for a while, my house will sometimes have the aroma of my Grandmother’s house; it always smelled like vanilla, cloves and bananas. Or sensing my Dad being close by, I can smell his Old Spice cologne.

Our sense of smell “Clairalience” is a very strong and easy connection to our loved ones in spirit, an easy way for them to say hello with their familiar comforting scents. Many of my readee’s have shared their experience of smelling for example their Grandfather’s pipe or the smell of a campfire in the kitchen with nothing even cooking and felt their brother who was in spirit right there next to him and smelling wood cuttings which he loved to do.

A dear friend would often smell his father’s favorite flower carnations when he was washing the dishes. Start to notice and say hello, if you walk in to your house and it has a familiar comforting scent it could be family or a friend in spirit sending their love to you. Just a little surprise visit!

Clairalience comes from two French words, roughly broken down into “clear smelling”. Clairalience is the extra sensory or psychic ability to “smell” beyond the physical nose. Clairalient psychics have the gift of clearly smelling scents from departed loved ones, but we all have it. It is just a matter of becoming aware. Most children and adults have experienced it without understanding what it was, just having a feeling that the fragrance is comforting and very familiar.

Be aware and pay attention to the aromas and scents you experience, it may be someone saying hello from spirit, sending you love and saying Happy Holidays!
