Blog 219 Just Dance!

The first day and week of summer is here! Woohoo!

Anyone else looking for ways to relax or let all the stress go?

When everything out there starts feeling over whelming or way too much to think about, let’s just dance!

While you are doing the laundry, washing dishes, finished paying bills or checking your emails on your phone.

Take a break, ground yourself and give yourself a deep breath, turn on your favorite music and just dance.

Just let go of all worries concerns and let it all go! Dance, dance, dance!

Allow yourself to freely move to her hearts content. Go with the flow of the music:

- Western line dancing

- Ballroom dancing

- Ballet dancing

- Tap dancing

- Hip-Hop dancing

- Freestyle dancing

- Whatever you wish to do and just let your body move!


Dance to your heart desires, in front of a mirror

- Down the hall

- In front of the window

- In your backyard

- In your kitchen

- In your front yard

- In your bathroom

- Dance like no one is watching!

Feel the joy and the rhythm and enthusiasm moving through every cell of your body. Breathe it in, breathe it out. Feel the peace, joy and the wonderment.

Like when we were kids, dance with total freedom and enthusiasm.

You will know exactly how long to dance, when you feel the joy bubbling up in your heart, and get a big smile on your face and feel like you never want to stop dancing. Enjoy the lightness that you feel, and the calm serenity in every cell and molecule in your body.

Own this freedom and love the childlike awareness you have with awe and wonder.

Make dancing a part of your day, a least a few times a week, just to feel that freedom and express your joy. Sometimes it's better than a therapy session.

Give yourself the gift, and healing miracle of dance!!! You will be amazed how quickly you feel better and like your true self once again. Dance to your favorite song and sing along! Just allow yourself to be YOU!
