Blog #229 Are You Listening to What Your Body Needs?
It is truly amazing, how animals are so incredible at listening to their body and what it needs.
I am working on listening more closely to what my body needs. Asking and listening and following its instructions.
We all can see great examples in our life to know just how easy it is to do.
I had a beautiful tabby cat named Brandy (photo) years ago when I was in college. He was about six weeks old when I brought him home, but he had a runny nose and runny eyes. A friend had told me about using brewer's yeast because the B vitamins can really help them heal just about anything that's going on in their body.
So I brought some home and set the bottle unopened on the floor beside Brandy. It was in powder form and he grabbed the bottle out of my hand and tried to open it. This little tiny kitten wanted to get into it, he knew he needed it.
I offered him some and he ate half a teaspoon of it and wanted more. I gave him a little more. I think he would have eaten the whole bottle if I would have let him. In two days he was all better. His runny nose and runny eyes were all healed. He was running around like a happy little kitten. Amazing!
This week my 11-year-old kitty Kalani was in need of some probiotics to help stop the runs he had been having for four days. I brought some home. I set the bag down on the floor, that had the box in it and he grabbed it and started rustling in the bag, and trying to rip open the box. He knew what he needed. I gave him about half the amount to start him off, and Kalani’s runs were gone the next day.
We have that same knowingness, if we just tune into it and ask the body what it needs and then listen.
Ground yourself, be nice and quiet and relax, and breathe. Then ask your body what it needs, listen, and trust your inner guidance. Follow what the body needs and see how amazingly it works. We have our specialist for our own body right here and right now, we just have to ask our body.
