Blog #230 Blessing Bees!

When was the last time you got stung by a Bee?

Does anyone have any good remedies for a Bee Sting?

Last week for the first time since I was a teenager, I got stung by a Bee on end of my left hand baby finger.

I was putting groceries in my trunk of my car and put my hand down on the side of the trunk. All of a sudden, I felt this excruciating burning pain in my finger. I lifted up my hand and there was a stinger hanging out of my finger with the little venomous ball on it. I pulled it out as fast as I could.

WOW WEE!!! It felt like my finger was on fire.

I couldn't find the Bee it must have fallen down or flown away. But I must have put my hand right on her. I didn't see it on the ground either.

Poor thing, blessing the sweet Bee on her way, I always feel so sorry for the Bee, she gave her life to protect the pollen.

Bees are so very special and important to all of us for pollination and their honey... Ever since I was a little kid, I used to talk to Bees and had such a great affinity with them, but I still got stung a few times, trying to get too close I guess.

After I got stung, I sat in my car for a few minutes, I grounded myself, getting more neutral and grounding my finger as well. I tuned in and asked, “What is my next step to heal my finger?” I got to ground off some of the discomfort, and gave myself a deep breath and calmed down the pain a little, to be able to drive home.

When I got home my wonderful husband, looked up what is the best thing to do for a Bee sting when you are first stung.

The interesting thing was that, the instructions were to put ice on it, which I did right away, and to put honey on it and a Band-Aid. I also took some Arnica 30x pellets for the pain and that helped too. Within a couple minutes it had calmed down, and within a couple of hours the stinging was gone and in a couple of days it felt fine.

Then six days later, to my surprise, my finger got really swollen, couldn’t bend it, it got red hot, and very painful. A delayed reaction my doctor said. I continued with my cold laser and ice, Vitamin C and Glycine and each day it got better. I did not expect an allergic reaction six days later. Life and our bodies are always keeping us on our toes.

So thankful I didn’t react to my Bee sting, like my golden retriever Ricky did last year. He got stung on his face by his eye, and his whole face, eye and jowls swelled up. I took him to the emergency vet imminently and they gave him Benadryl. Now I know to keep some Benadryl available at home just in case. For Ricky and for me.

It has been a very long time for me since I had a Bee sting. I had forgotten how painful it is. Ouuuuuch!!!

I think it's pretty cool that honey is part of the remedy to heal from a Bee sting. It's like they gave us the healing solution for it.

How wonderful, if all solutions could be that easy.
Oh yeah they are, all we have to do is ask, listen, trust and follow our inner guidance.

Love and blessings to all the beautiful Bees in the world and for all the hard they work for us all. Thank you!!!
