AHA Moment Miracles
As a human being, we are an important part of nature. Yet in our busy lives of driving
cars, working in high-rise buildings or sitting in front of a computer for hours, we can
lose touch with ourselves and with nature. The signs, symbols and answers to life’s
greatest questions are all around us and within us, if we are open to them.
Have you ever taken a walk and all of a sudden you had an “AHA”
(Awe-Ha!) moment? You realize something important, or in a flash the answer to a
long-held question comes to you. You may remember a person you need to call or you
get an understanding about why you felt so sad all week, a dream may come to
mind from two nights ago in which suddenly everything becomes clear about your
relationship.
Being out in nature breathing fresh air in the warm sunshine can have an amazing healing
effect on all levels of the body - physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
Being in nature and just “Being” is such a gift. It brings you in alignment with the true
You-- your spirit of being-ness. When you take a walk around the
neighborhood or in a quiet and peaceful forest and listen to the birds and crickets, or on
your favorite beach, all the sights, sounds and scents create images from the past, present
and future. Everything has a message, the sound of a babbling brook, or
chipmunks chattering or birds singing. The answers are there within you and the signs
and symbols are all around, if you allow yourself to take a moment to listen and observe.
I have always had a sweet connection to nature. When I was young my mother would wake us up to go outside to see the full Moon or to watch a meteor shower. So much awe and wonder everywhere we looked. I am so very grateful for my incredible mother’s love and awareness wanting to share nature and the miracles of life with us.
The last fifteen years of my mother’s life, she had a serious terminal illness and during most of that time I was her caretaker. The last few months of her life, I was helping her prepare to make her transition to spirit. One afternoon a few days before my mother’s passing I had a miraculous experience while on a walk along the beach.
The day before, my mother and I had a conversation about what she wanted for her Celebration of Life service. I had been having a hard time knowing where and what kind of celebration she would like and it had been difficult to ask her up to that point because of her illness.
She said she wanted a party, a “Celebration of Life” instead of a memorial service.
She wanted all her family and friends to laugh and be joyous of her wonderful life and celebrate to her new journey home and next adventure. She wanted us all to have a party at Chevy’s (a well-known Fresh Mex restaurant in San Diego, CA), and enjoy the good food and great margaritas;
It was her very favorite.
That afternoon, after our conversation I went home from the hospital and decided to go
for a short walk on the beach to clear my mind and relax. Walking down to the water on
the beach there were “five” beautiful butterflies that kept flitting all around me and it was like they were all giggling. In the four years I had lived at the beach, I had never seen butterflies by the ocean before. In American Indian medicine, animals are life symbols, and butterflies represent
a symbol of transformation. Also in numerology five is the number of change and freedom.
As I continued to walk down the beach, I was very aware of my mother, as though she
was walking and communicating telepathically with me. We loved walking on the beach together. Just then, down the beach, in the distance I could see a big red fully inflated balloon lying on the sand in the surf. Oftentimes I would see balloons on the beach, but never fully inflated. There were many people on the beach but no one had picked up the balloon. It seemed as though it was waiting just for me.
As I got closer I noticed it had a blue ribbon attached to it; blue is my Mother’s favorite
color. I picked up the balloon and turned it around, and to my absolute amazement it had the name “Chevy’s” printed on it and I started laughing out loud. In that moment I knew I had received a powerful confirmation for mother’s celebration at “Chevy’s”!
We all did have a magical time celebrating my mother’s life at Chevy’s, sharing stories and laughing and remembering all the glorious times. Just like she wanted!
It is so miraculous all the signs, symbols and answers are all around us if we are only open to them. Begin to notice the little details, even on a short afternoon walk, long walk on the beach or just sitting under a tree in your back yard and watching the clouds float by, you will be delighted at the surprises and answers you receive. Allow nature to speak to you, just Be and ask, listen, know and follow.
MIRACLE HINT:
Before going out for a walk, take a few deep breaths and center yourself and be nice and grounded. Have the intention to receive the answer to a burning question and then relax, enjoy and be open to all the possibilities.
If you see a bird or rabbit send it a little hello and then listen to see if you receive
a hello back, it may just be a feeling or you will experience it telepathically inside your head.
Let the miracles show you the way.
