Blog #74 Our Animal Totem’s are Talking!

Have you been noticing this week more animals saying hello to you when you are outside or out in nature?

I have been seeing a lot of Monarch Butterflies flying around and laying eggs every day on the big pots of Milkweed plants we have been growing on our patio table outside our family room window.  It is so magical to watch them lay their eggs, and then see the eggs hatch into tiny caterpillars and go through all the stages to becoming a two to three inch caterpillar; and then become a beautiful chrysalis. Then after about ten days the chrysalis makes their full transformation into an incredible Monarch Butterfly. Then they fly free and may even journey as far as 3000 miles to their winter roosting trees in Mexico. This five week process of the Monarchs transformation is totally spectacular! Nature is so profound and seems to be giving us messages every moment!

Last week, watering and cleaning up around the Milkweed plants I kept coming in and out of the house and when I was all done, I came in and my cell phone with the screen dark was lying on the kitchen table; and as I reached for it, to my absolute amazement, a baby caterpillar that must have just hatched from the egg because it was so tiny, was crawling on my cell phone!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! How in the heck did it get in the house and on my phone? He must have gotten on my shirt and came in the house with me at some point. I gently took him outside and put it on a Milkweed leaf. He was so tiny I wouldn’t have seen him, unless he was crawling on my phone. If he would have been anywhere else (on the table or the floor or the chair or… I wouldn’t have been able to see him. I felt in that moment that; oh I am in the larva stage of my next project, as I am stepping out with my inner guidance with my writing. What an incredible hello and reminder!

When Butterflies show up in our life, they are calling us to be more aware and we are transforming on a deep level.

The power of Butterfly is akin to air, and the ability to know your mind and/or to change it. The art of transformation is to know which cycle or stage in life of self-transformation you are in and what you are creating;

The egg stage: using your creative power in a new thought or idea.
The larva stage: time to choose or make a decision and step forward with a plan of action.
The chrysalis or cocoon stage: time to develop and make your idea happen
The birth stage: sharing your completed idea and gifts and setting them free for the world to enjoy.

Life is a learning growing sacred time of profound transformation every moment, if we only allow ourselves to be inspired by the beautiful butterflies’ and all our Animal Guides and Totems.

Start to say hello every time animals come around you, and be open to all the kinds of miracles that can manifest. They are here as our gentle teachers!

Ask them; what is the guidance they would like to share with you and then listen!
