Blog #73 Animal Hello’s – A Gift from Our Animal Totem!

Love all the amazing lessons we learn every day from our incredible pets, Kaillee and Ricky my Golden Retrievers and my two kitties Kailua and Kalani, teach me something daily and keep me laughing too.

The last few weeks have been a magical time of spirit to spirit Hello’s from the amazing animals that show up all around me at different times when I go outside. Owls, Red tail Hawks, Raven, Crows, Bats, Monarch Butterflies, Caterpillars, Tree Frogs, Hummingbirds of all colors, Coyotes, Wrens, Purple, Finches, Baby Lizards, and Dragonflies are just around my house.

Often when at the beach, I see Dolphins, Pelicans, Osprey, Sealions and in the season Whales.

Have you ever had one of those weeks or months that everything you do, a wild animal shows up!

This week on Monday morning when I woke up at 1:00am, I could hear clearly an owl right outside my window calling to another owl that sounded like it was just a few blocks away. As I listened more closely, I could hear a third owl that was chiming in to the conversation that sounded even further away.

I listened for a while and then telepathically saying a spirit to spirit hello to them, they stopped for a moment and were silent, and then they started hooting and communicating even louder, like I had joined in the chorus. They continued for more than an hour and finally, I asked if they had a message for me. I heard “We just wanted to remind you that we are here!” I started laughing out loud, because just a few days before,  I was thinking I hadn’t heard them in a few weeks. It was such a gift to be serenaded by these incredible birds and friends.

In the Medicine Cards and Book by Jamie Sams and David Carson, they talk about the wonderful celebration of the spiritual lessons and discovery of power through the ways in which animals teach us.

Owl’s medicine is symbolic of clairvoyance, astral projection and intuition; and bringing forth the truth that brings further enlightenment. In ancient Greece, the owl was a symbol of higher wisdom; and for the Pawnee they are a sign of protection and a sign to truly listen to what is not being said.

Growing up and as an adult, the owl has always been one of my Totems that I would communicate with often. The owl has been such a powerful teacher in times of great change.

A Totem is a spirit animal or spirit being, and can be a sacred object or symbol of the family or an individual. Native American tradition suggests each person has animal guides, spirit guides, or power animals that come in and accompany and guide us through our lives.

Everywhere I have lived, there have been owls and I would often hear them in the early morning hours making their presence known to me.

I asked the owls telepathically what message they have for me, and usually what I receive is something very simple like; “You are on track!” or “Important to communicate right now!” or “Don’t worry you are protected!”

Totems remind us who we are, as the powerful spirt we are expressing in this life.

Take a few moments to ground and center yourself and tune in and ask your inner guidance, what animal is my Totem guide? It probably won’t be a surprise to you because we generally become aware of our animal guides as small children, either they are one of our favorite animals or they have naturally always been around us.

Ask your Totem guide to come forward and ask them if they have a message they would like to share with you. Begin to communicate with them often and especially when one shows up in a physical body form. Ask why they have come and be open to listening to their message.

From doing readings for clients for the last fifty years now, almost all of my first clairvoyant sessions with a new readee, I will see anywhere from 3 to 9 different animal guides that are with them, helping, guiding and protecting them and they have been doing so for many life times.

We all have so many Angels and animal guides that are showing us the way in this profound spiritual human life we are having,  I am so very grateful and blessed to be open to the full awareness that they are bringing to us in their love and guidance every day.

To be continued!
