Blog 116 It’s a Good Time to Breathe!

Mindful breathing can help us get back in touch with our inner peace and joy. In fact, breathing is the most fundamental act of life.

Yet, how often do we truly appreciate it?

When smelling a beautiful rose we take a deep breath, or when hugging our loved ones we smell their sweet perfume. Or when scared and find our self not breathing and finally take a nice deep breath.

Breathing is truly the gift of life in this body!

Through the years, I have studied and practiced many different breathing techniques. All very powerful, like when I studied Zen and Yoga and when I was teaching meditation classes and psychic development. The gift of a breath has so many different ways of healing us. It is fun to try different techniques and see what works best.

One that is my favorites which I call the “Angel Breathing” and some call it “Box Breathing” is easy:

Start by sitting in a chair, relax and breathe normally; create a nice new grounding cord and connect it from your 1st chakra –have it be a nice big hollow tree trunk going all the way down to the center of the earth. See the gravity turning on, then let go and ground off all the energy that is not yours in your space and see it like sand going down the grounding cord and neutralizing as it hits the center of the Earth.

Then give yourself a gentle deep breath and feel how calm and relaxed the body feels right now.

Angel Breathing:

Now give yourself a deep belly breath in through your nose for a count of
four 1-2-3-4.

Hold that breath for another count of four 1-2-3-4.

Exhale slowly out of your mouth for a count of four 1-2-3-4

Then hold the lungs empty for the final count of four 1-2-3-4.

Then do that gently 4 four more times. Then relax and breathe normally, feel the divine light that is flowing through your body and in every cell. Own this wonderful healing awareness and clarity that this beautiful breathing has given you.

A simple yet profound exercise that can work wonders to reclaim your peace and neutrality during your most hectic and challenging moments.

When complete simply create a big beautiful gold Sun with a big magnet in it above your head and call back your life force energy and see it filling you up from head to toe as you give yourself a nice breath, own your new space for yourself.

Benefits of Angel Breathing:

· Body: Can stabilize your blood pressure, increase oxygen flow, and promote physical calmness.

·  Mind: It sharpens concentration, reduces stress, and aids in mental clarity and awareness.

·  Soul: Taking intentional moments to breathe deepens your connection to the present moment, enriching inner peace and connecting to your Soul’s purpose.

I have used the Angel breathing so many times when I have had a challenge. Resently I was doing a reading session on the phone with a client who was having a very difficult time dealing with her mother’s passing. She was crying, then yelling and of course had so many emotions flowing up for her.

I took just a moment to do the Angel Breathing as she was talking and it helped me to be more calm and to find my neutrality again and she even calmed down and could hear what I had to share.

It's amazing what a few moments of focused breathing can achieve.

Allow yourself these pockets of peace, and feel the tranquility they bring.
