Blog #67 Is your body talking? What is it’s message?

Isn’t it amazing how our bodies are always talking to us and often trying to get our attention? Like a little kid pulling on our sleeve or someone tapping on your shoulder.

Our body temple in which we get to travel through this life time is truly incredible; and the amazing ways how it reproduces all of its cells, every seven years and many cells almost daily. We are breathing, our heart is beating, our hair and nails are growing and all the systems of the mind and body and Spirit are working together in perfect harmony as a well-oiled machine.

Our Spirit is the director and the body is always working to fulfill what the Spirit is choosing right here and right now in present time.

So often through the years the body has been tapping, then knocking, even sometimes hitting us over the head to get our attention. At times I have been too busy and would just override the body to just keep going, and thinking I will take care of the body later. Later usually doesn’t work out very well does it? If it is talking loudly it is in need of something that we may not be giving it.

Years ago I developed gallstones, and I kept fasting and doing cleanses to clear them out and dissolve them. It worked, and then they would come back. My Grandmother suffered with the same issue. Finally after 18 years of fasting and being in and out of extreme pain, I got to the point and heard my body screaming at me to get my attention and couldn’t over ride it any more as I had done in the past. I said “Ok body, I get it! I hear you and we really do need some help NOW!” I could barely eat anything that wouldn’t put me in major pain. I knew it was time to get a few doctors opinions. A few weeks later, I had a CT scan and they did laparoscopic surgery, and the surgeon said to me; “If you would have waited a few days longer, the gallbladder could have ruptured, because it was so full of gall stones and you could have easily died. Good thing you listened to your body!”

I was so thankful that I had listened and realized; it would have been much easier on my body if I listened and did something about it much sooner. Through this process, I did learn how important it is to be aware and to listen to my body’s messages.

When there is pain, it is definitely giving us instruction. A sore tooth is get to the dentist; not sleeping, is to figuring out what the body needs and to release the stress; the gut hurting is time to be aware if you ate something that was rancid or that you are allergic to that food item, or that there is something more seriously wrong?

When the body is pointing out pain to us, it is time to stop, ask, and listen and then take action. To do what you know to do to help the body and or, asking the body if it is time to go see the doctor or go to Urgent Care and then listen closely. You will always get the answer, because the body is always communicating. Take a little time in meditation and ask what the body is trying to share with you about this pain.

When you look in the mirror at yourself, do you say: “Hello beautiful, I love you and appreciate all you do dear sweet body!”

Or how many times do we look in the mirror with judgement and see things we don’t like and that we would like to change about our bodies? The body is too tall, too short, don’t like our curly, straight or balding hair, arms are too big, want six pack abs, feet to small or too big, flat butt or too big of one, nose is too big or not big enough, don’t like your teeth, skin or your memory isn’t working well enough or… and it goes on and on and on.

Stop and begin to look at the body like it is your best friend, because it is!!! Loving your best friend (your body) unconditionally, listening with kindness, understanding and patience; know the body, mind and Spirit is working together with full awareness of health and wholeness, with certainty knowingness and miracles with limitless havingness as an eternal being that we all are.

Do some mirror work for yourself. Each morning being nice and grounded, look into the mirror and say Hello! Validate yourself; you are strong, healthy, beautiful, say I love and approve of myself on all levels! Thank you body for all that you do! Ask your body to let you know what you can do for it, what does it need? Just saying hello to the pain or discomfort in the body you can often times learn exactly what is going on.

Ask your body what it would like for breakfast. Begin to check in with your body throughout the day as you would call or text a BFF.

At the end of the day, ground off everyone else’s energy and call back your own life force energy and then think of all the things you are so grateful for that day, for your sweet body, amazing mind and limitless Spirit.

You are such a blessing to all that know you and an incredible amazing LIGHT in the world!
